A vehicle that went off the side of Highway 39 in the Angeles National Forest north of Azusa Tuesday morning sparked a brush fire that scorched at least six acres and was 50% contained.
The crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. near the Crystal Lake campground. Two people were injured and taken to a hospital in unknown condition, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Firefighters on the ground were assisted by water-dropping helicopters.
No evacuations were immediately ordered.
