A man was shot to death Saturday in Compton, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about 12:40 p.m. in the 1900 block of East Pine Street, according to Deputy Erin Liu of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Information Bureau.
The victim suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene, Liu said.
There was no information immediately available about the suspect or the motive, she said.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives were conducting an on-scene investigation, she said.
