A man who allegedly killed a woman in North Las Vegas was in custody Tuesday, authorities said.
Stanley Dewayne Thomas, 31, of Las Vegas was taken into custody on Monday afternoon, and was booked on suspicion of murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to the FBI.
Thomas allegedly fatally shot the woman on Oct. 16, and a warrant was issued for his arrest about a week later, the FBI reported. Details about the crime were not immediately available.
Thomas was being held in jail in Los Angeles, pending transfer to Nevada for prosecution, the FBI reported.
The investigation was conducted by detectives with the North Las Vegas Police Department and the FBI’s Fugitive Task Forces in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
