A 23-year-old man was identified after he died in an early morning car crash Friday on Highway 79 in Temecula.
Coroner officials said Geordon Pollette of Aguanga died following a fiery car crash between a white Mitsubishi and red Toyota near Anza Road at 12:25 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said the first officers to arrive found the victims still inside both cars. The Mitsubishi was on fire.
Firefighters at the scene confirmed that one person died and two others were taken to a hospital with serious injuries, the Riverside County Fire Department said.
The cause was under investigation.
