A man was assaulted Saturday as he left a Whittier restaurant, authorities said.
The attack was reported at 8:12 a.m. at 12721 Hadley St., according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Cheryl Sims.
Paramedics took the man to a hospital for treatment, Sims said.
The victim was stabbed in the upper body, Lt. P. Chavez of the Norwalk Sheriff’s Station said. His wounds were not believed life-threatening.
“A few males” were involved, she said. Their identifies were unknown.
The motive for the attack was also unknown, Chavez said.
