A man was hospitalized Monday after he was cut in a shoulder during an assault in the downtown area of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The attack was reported at 12:50 a.m. at Main and Fifth streets, according to police. But officers believe the man was wounded elsewhere because the cut is large and there was no blood trail.
The man is not homeless, police said. His mental state prevented him from telling officers where he was attacked and by whom, police said.
