A 68-year-old Long Beach man who was reported missing died in a vehicle crash, authorities said Monday.
Edward Ringer last had been seen on Thursday, and the California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert seeking public help to find him.
Monday morning, the Long Beach Police Department announced that the coroner’s office notified them that Ringer was fatally injured in a crash in Compton on Thursday. Details of the crash were not released.
