Authorities Tuesday sought public help to track down a motorist involved in the death of a pedestrian in Inglewood.
The hit-and-run occurred about 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the area of 84th Place and Van Ness Avenue, according to the Inglewood Police Department.
The victim, a 46-year-old Covina resident, died at a hospital. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The driver was behind the wheel of a silver mid-1990s four-door Honda CRV that sustained front end and windshield damage, according to police.
Investigators circulated a photo of a similar vehicle and encouraged anyone with information about the case to contact Inglewood Police Department traffic investigators at 310-412-5134.
