A motorcyclist was killed Thursday in a traffic collision with a tractor-trailer truck.
Irwindale police received a call about 12:50 p.m. for a collision near Live Oak and Stewart avenues, near the border of Baldwin Park and Irwindale, according to Sgt. Rudy Gatto, Public Information Officer for the Irwindale Police Department.
The motorcyclist collided with a tractor-trailer truck and was pronounced dead at the scene, Gatto said.
The truck’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police, according to Gatto.
The victim’s name will be released pending family notification.
Live Oak Avenue was closed between Commerce Drive and Baldwin Park Boulevard, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities asked that anyone who witnessed the collision contact the Irwindale Police Department at 626-430-2244.
