A man was detained Friday near campus on suspicion of sexual battery targeting University of Southern California students.

The suspect was taken into custody about 3 p.m. near the intersection of Grand Avenue and Adams Boulevard in South Los Angeles, according to Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect is allegedly involved in over a dozen groping incidents that targeted USC students in the last month, according to CBS2.

Im was unable to confirm that USC students were involved, but did confirm that the investigation is being handled by both the LAPD and USC.

CBS2 reported that none of the incidents were reported on campus.
