A 51-year-old felon suspected of selling heroin and methamphetamine was arrested near the Morongo Casino, Resort and Spa and remained jailed Sunday in lieu of $250,000 bail.
Deputies found Art Munoz of San Bernardino passed out in the driver’s seat of his vehicle about 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the 49000 block of Seminole Drive, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Mattson.
Inside the vehicle, deputies allegedly found “firearm ammunition, approximately 57 grams of black tar heroin, 30 grams of methamphetamine, U.S. currency and other items consistent with the sales and use of controlled substances,” Mattson said.
He was booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of being in possession of controlled substances with the intent to sell and being a convicted felon in possession of ammunition.
