A 39-year-old man was fatally shot in East Los Angeles in an apparent gang-related shooting and sheriff’s detectives were searching for the man’s killer.
The attack took place about 10:20 p.m. Saturday at a home in the 6000 block of Southside Drive, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Responding deputies found the man outside the home suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital but died early Sunday morning from his wounds, the LASD reported.
The victim did not live at the home where he was found. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
