A head-on car crash left a man dead and a second person hurt in Monterey Park, authorities said Monday.
The crash occurred before 4 p.m. Sunday on West Floral Drive near Valley Vista Drive, Monterey Park police said.
The man died at the scene, Monterey Park police Lt. P. Villalobos said. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries, but her condition was not immediately available.
West Floral Drive between Crest Vista and Valley Vista drives was closed for the investigation from about 3:50 p.m. to 11:45 p.m., police said.
