Authorities Friday morning investigated the cause of a two-alarm house fire in Burbank that burned for more than an hour.

Firefighters responded to the 1200 block of South Lake Street, near West Elm Avenue, about 10:25 p.m. Thursday, according to a dispatcher for the Verdugo Fire Communications Center, which provides fire dispatch services for Burbank and 12 other cities.

Video from the scene showed flames shooting from the home’s roof and thick gray smoke wafting out of the sides of the house.

A knockdown was declared at 11:44 p.m. No injuries were reported.
