A fire in Mecca Friday morning gutted an outbuilding and left one person injured, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.
The 20-by-20-foot outbuilding was reported to be fully engulfed when crews dispatched to Grapefruit Boulevard near Avenue 64 got to the scene about 10:20 a.m.
The injured person declined to be transported to a local hospital, according to the fire department.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire, which took about 10 minutes to contain.
