Authorities Thursday identified an 80-year-old woman who was killed in a hit-and-run in Sylmar, and continued their efforts to find the motorist responsible for her death.
Celia Rivera of Sylmar died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 6:50 p.m. Wednesday near Hubbard Street and Dronfield Avenue.
Rivera was walking outside a marked crosswalk when she was fatally injured by a white vehicle, possibly a Ford Mustang, that kept going, the the Los Angeles Police Department reported. No driver description was released.
