A 37-year-old man accused of fatally beating his older brother during a dispute near Hemet must stand trial for murder, a judge ruled Friday.

Timothy Anthony Condoluci of Hemet allegedly killed 41-year-old Michael W. Condoluci, also of Hemet, in July.

Following a preliminary hearing at the Banning Justice Center, Riverside County Superior Court Judge Alfonso Fernandez found there was sufficient evidence to warrant a trial on the murder count. The judge scheduled a post-preliminary hearing arraignment for March 12 and left the defendant’s bail at $1 million.

Condoluci is being held at the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside.

According to sheriff’s Sgt. Rick Espinoza, the victim was attacked shortly before 10 p.m. on July 10 at a residence in the 26000 block of Green Avenue, just south of Highway 74, in a community just east of Hemet, known as Green Acres.

Patrol deputies were called to the location to investigate reports of an assault and found Michael Condoluci with unspecified life-threatening injuries, Espinoza said.

The victim was taken to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley, where he died about four hours later.

Timothy Condoluci was questioned by investigators and arrested without incident at the scene.

The defendant has no documented prior felony convictions in Riverside County.
