A Los Angeles man was sentenced Wednesday to 12 years in prison for fatally stabbing a man during a fight in a Rose Bowl parking lot.
Miguel Castaneda, 24, pleaded no contest last month to voluntary manslaughter and admitted using a knife in the Oct. 1, 2018, attack on Demetrio Tapia Jr., 22, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Valentina Rosales, 25, of Pasadena, who was present during the fight and drove Castaneda away from the scene, pleaded no contest to a felony count of being an accessory after the fact, according to the District Attorney’s Office. She was sentenced Wednesday to four years in prison.
