A motorcyclist was killed when he crashed into a tow truck in Riverside, authorities said Sunday.
The crash occurred a little before 9:50 p.m. Saturday in the 5800 block of Arlington Avenue, the City of Riverside Fire Department reported.
Investigators said a flatbed tow truck was turning from eastbound Arlington Avenue onto northbound Hillside Avenue when the biker, who was going westbound on Arlington Avenue, collided with the truck, according to City of Riverside police Sgt. Ryan Wilson.
Firefighters arriving at the scene reported that the biker was trapped underneath the tow truck.
The 54-year-old biker from Cypress was eventually freed from the wreckage and later pronounced dead at the scene.
