Authorities Tuesday are seeking public help to identify suspects in a fatal, gang-related shooting in Panorama City.

The shooting happened Monday about 7:10 p.m. in the 14600 block of Blythe Street, near Van Nuys Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Jose Gamiz De Leon of Woodland Hills, 26, was sitting in a car when a blue Chrysler PT Cruiser and a tan Cadillac approached. A suspect in the PT Cruiser allegedly fired multiple rounds at Gamiz De Leon from a handgun.

A friend took him to a hospital, where he died, police reported.

The two suspect vehicles fled the scene on Blythe Street toward Van Nuys Boulevard. Detectives believe the shooting was gang-related.

Anyone with information about the suspects was encouraged to contact Detective Chris Campagna at 818-374-9550, or during non-business hours, 1-877-LAPD-24-7.
