A suspect wanted for felony weapons violations was arrested Wednesday after running away from officers during a traffic stop near the border of La Habra and Fullerton.
Fullerton Police Department officers pulled over the car that was associated with the wanted suspect about 6:45 p.m. near Cypress Street and Imperial Highway, according to Lt. Tony Bogart of the Fullerton Police Department.
The suspect ran away from the officers, prompting a search in Fullerton and La Habra that included a helicopter.
The suspect was found by a Fullerton Police Department canine and taken into custody near Euclid Street and Imperial Highway, in La Habra, about 8:30 p.m., Bogart said.
