Two raids in the Rosetta Canyon area of Lake Elsinore uncovered indoor marijuana grows at two properties, resulting in one arrest, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported Friday.

Search warrants were served just hours apart Thursday in the 4000 block of Ladrillo Street and the 41000 block of Sunsprite Street.

Sgt. Glenn Warrington said area residents had complained about suspected illegal activity at the two homes, prompting investigations that led investigators to obtain the warrants.

Rosetta Canyon was the site of three separate sheriff’s raids in April.

At the Sunsprite property, deputies arrested 52-year-old Vu Tan Le on suspicion of illegal cultivation of marijuana after an undisclosed number of cannabis plants were seized and it was confirmed that the “electrical system within the residence had been illegally altered, causing a severe fire hazard” to support the grow, Warrington alleged.

Le posted a $20,000 bond and was released from the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside the same day.

Inside the home on Ladrillo Street, an undisclosed number of nascent cannabis plants were seized by deputies, who again found a jerry-rigged electrical apparatus to nurture the grow, according to Warrington.

No one was taken into custody at the location, and the investigation is ongoing, he said.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the sheriff’s Lake Elsinore station at 951-245-3300.
