A 21-year-old woman was fatally shot Sunday in Compton, but details about the crime were scarce.
The victim was shot at approximately 3 a.m. in the 700 block of North Tajauta Avenue, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported.
She was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She suffered from gunshot wounds to the torso. No further information about the victim was released.
The sheriff’s Homicide Bureau urged anyone with information regarding the shooting to call them at 323-890-5500.
