A man shot to death in Compton was a resident of that city, authorities said Monday.
The victim was identified as Joseph Henderson, 34, according to coroner’s Investigator Kelsie Weber.
The shooting occurred at 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of South White Avenue, south of Alondra Boulevard, said Deputy Marvin Crowder of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The victim died at the scene, he said.
A description of the suspect was not available.
