Authorities Friday identified a family dispute suspect who was killed in an officer-involved shooting in the Harbor Gateway area.

Anthony Ysaac, 26, of Los Angeles, was shot by officers about 12:45 p.m. Thursday near 123rd Street and Menlo Avenue and died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office and the Los Angeles Police Department.

Officer were called to the scene by a woman who said her neighbor’s son, Ysaac, had a gun and was trying to kill his sister, police said.

Once officers arrived on scene and made contact with Ysaac over the phone, they learned he was refusing to let his sister leave the residence and had fired a round into a door.

At some point, Ysaac exited the residence with a revolver, and an officer-involved shooting occurred, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was not immediately clear if his sister was harmed during the dispute.

No officers were injured in the shooting, and a handgun was recovered at the scene, police said.
