A 17-year-old girl in Anaheim was fatally stabbed Saturday evening, and a suspect is in custody, authorities said.
At 8:30 p.m. police were called to the Leatrice Lane and Haster Street intersection where the incident occurred and found the victim clinging to life, according to Sgt. Shane Carringer with the Anaheim Police Department.
The teenager was sent to UC Irvine Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, he said.
A 23-year-old man from Anaheim is in police custody.
Investigators were still looking into the relationship between the victim and the alleged assailant, as well as other possible suspects, Carringer said.
