A man was taken to a hospital in serious condition this evening after being shot multiple times in Burbank.
The shooting occurred about 6:15 p.m. near Sunset Canyon Drive and Providencia Avenue, according to Lt. Claudio Losacco of the Burbank Police Department.
Officers arrived on scene to find the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his lower body, Losacco said.
He was taken to a hospital for surgery.
The area was closed to traffic while investigators responded to the scene, according to Losacco.
