A man in his 20s was killed and a 10-year-old boy wounded Wednesday evening in a shooting in Glendale.
Police responded to a shots fired call near San Fernando Road and Chevy Chase Drive around 9 p.m. and found the man down in the street, south of the intersection, according to Sgt. Christian Hauptmann of the Glendale Police Department.
Officers initiated CPR on the wounded man and he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Hauptmann said.
While investigating the shooting, police received a second call that a boy was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, Hauptmann said. Broadcast reports said the boy was 10 years old, but Hauptmann could not confirm the boy’s age.
A description of the suspect was not immediately available.
The names of the victims were not disclosed.
