
A man was killed and a woman was wounded in a shooting in the Skid Row area of downtown Los Angeles, and the gunman was on the loose Thursday morning.
Police responded to the area of San Pedro and Sixth streets about 10:50 p.m. Wednesday and found a woman in her 40s suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. She was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, police said.
About 11 p.m., a man in his 20s was found near San Pedro and Fifth streets with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the LAPD.
A description of the suspect was not immediately available.
The names of the victims were not disclosed.
