
Firefighters Monday spent one hour and 42 minutes battling a fire at a commercial building in Panorama city.
The Greater Alarm fire was reported at 1:24 a.m. at 14821 W. Arminta St., said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Nicholas Prange.
Flames could be seen through the roof of the 3,750 sq. foot building when firefighters arrived, prompting firefighters to assume a defensive stance, battling the blaze from the exterior, Prange said.
“Heavy fire and wires down blocking the access point caused firefighters to battle with a defensive posture, applying heavy streams including ladder pipes. prompting firefighters to assume a defensive stance, battling the blaze from the exterior,” Prange said.
In all, 60 firefighters were called to the scene, he said. No injuries were reported.
