An unemployed 27-year-old man made his first appearance in court Monday on charges of drugging and raping a woman in Santa Ana he had just met at a bar.
Wilbur Paul Lusker was charged with rape by use of drugs, sodomy by anesthesia or controlled substance, burglary and grand theft, all felonies, according to court records.
Lusker met the alleged victim in a bar and sexually assaulted her on Feb. 17, 2019, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
Lusker was arrested May 25 and was being held on $100,000 bail, according to jail records.
Lusker’s arraignment in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana was postponed until Aug. 7.
