Authorities searched Tuesday morning for a suspect who wounded a man in a shooting during a carjacking in Granada Hills.
Police responded to the 16900 block of Simonds Street, near the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, about 10 p.m. Monday and found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim had come outside of a home on Simonds Street after his brother sent him a text saying he was being carjacked by an armed man, NBC4 reported. Police could not immediately confirm that an attempted carjacking occurred.
The victim was taken to a hospital in unknown condition and the shooter fled the scene, police said. No other injuries were reported.
