A person was taken to a hospital Friday afternoon after being struck by a Metrolink train in Industry.

The San Bernardino Line 331 train was traveling westbound between the Baldwin Park and El Monte stations when it struck the victim at the Amar Road crossing about 5:45 p.m., according to Metrolink’s Scott Johnson.

The person survived the collision and was taken to a hospital, Johnson and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station watch commander said. The victim’s condition, age and gender was not immediately available.

The train resumed service after about 30 minutes, but trains on the San Bernardino line will experience delays Friday evening as a result, according to Johnson.
