A Gardena man was stabbed to death Friday while in bed, and police arrested his adult son in the killing.

Officers were sent to the 1700 block of 150th Street at 1:45 a.m. on a report of a family disturbance, said Gardena police Lt. Chris Cuff.

“Information in the initial call stated that the mother and son were outside of the residence and that the son stabbed the father,” Cuff said.

Robin Robert Frost Sr., 61, was found lying on his bed with “several puncture wounds to his chest and face,” and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Cuff said.

Robin Robert Frost Jr., 24, was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder, he added.

“Preliminarily, it appears that the son … stabbed his father while Frost Sr. was asleep in his bed,” Cuff said.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call detectives at 310-217-6180 or 310-217-9618.
