Sheriff’s investigators were seeking witnesses Tuesday to a fatal car crash in which a man was run over several times on a Moreno Valley road.
The crash was reported about 9:40 p.m. Monday on Perris Boulevard, north of Alessandro Boulevard, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nathan Kaas.
Deputies responded and found a man dead in the roadway, and witnesses reported he was run over by multiple cars, he said.
The circumstances of the crash remain unclear, including whether the man was a pedestrian. The victim’s identify has not been confirmed.
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to have been involved in the crash, Kaas said.
A stretch of Perris Boulevard near the crash site was closed for several hours overnight while investigators worked the scene.
Witnesses were urged to call Deputy Kevin Seguin at the Moreno Valley sheriff’s station at 951-486-6879.
