Homicide investigators Tuesday were seeking witnesses to the shooting death of a 32-year-old man in Jurupa Valley.
Deputies were sent to the area of Van Buren Boulevard and Bellegrave Avenue on a shooting call about 2:40 a.m. Monday and found Jeremy Amerson of Riverside suffering from several gunshot wounds in a nearby flood control channel, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Ben Ramirez.
Despite first responders’ attempts to save him, Amerson was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
