A motorist was killed Monday when the car he was driving crashed into a tree in the Koreatown area.
The driver, about 20 years of age, died at the scene of the crash at about 2:05 a.m. on Olympic Boulevard near Vermont Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
The man was driving a Toyota Camry west on Olympic Boulevard when the car “veered left across eastbound lanes of traffic, ran off the road and collided with a tree,” police said.
It was unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision.
