An early morning shooting in the Watts area of Los Angeles Sunday wounded two people.
The incident was reported at 2:20 a.m. at East 112th Street and Mona Boulevard, said Sgt. J. Salazar, of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Station.
The two victims were taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
Because the shots were fired on the border of a community patrolled by the LAPD patrols, the department contacted the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to determine who had jurisdiction to investigate the case, Salazar said.
