An automobile passenger was killed Saturday when a vehicle rear-ended the vehicle he was in, triggering a six-vehicle crash in Anaheim, a police sergeant said.
The crash on northbound Euclid Street, at the Santa Ana (5) Freeway, occurred at 11:19 a.m., Anaheim Police Sgt. Shane Carringer said.
The woman who sparked the crash was taken to an area hospital, where her condition was not immediately known, authorities said. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, Carringer said.
The California Highway Patrol issued a Sigalert at 11:35 a.m. closing all southbound and northbound lanes of Euclid between Lincoln Avenue and the 5 Freeway for at least three hours.
