
Firefighters put out an apartment fire in South Los Angeles within minutes Sunday, authorities said.
Crews battled flames in a second-story unit of a two-story building at 1616 E. Firestone Boulevard in the Florence-Firestone neighborhood that began at 4:25 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The fire at the garden-style apartment was knocked down at 4:34 a.m., supervising fire dispatcher Melinda Choi said.
No injuries were reported.
