A man was shot to death in South Los Angeles, authorities said Wednesday..
He was identified as Robert Maurice King, 51, of Los Angeles, according to the coroner’s office.
The shooting was reported at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday near 59th Street and Denver Avenue, one block west of Figueroa Street, said Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
The victim was walking down the street when a vehicle drove by and suspects fired at him, according to a desk officer at the LAPD’s Operations Center. He was struck several times.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Lopez said.
