A man was killed Saturday when the car he was driving slammed into a traffic signal pole and a fire hydrant in Riverside.
The crash occurred at about 1:30 a.m. as the man was driving a 2017 Toyota Prius southbound on Van Buren Boulevard near Victoria Avenue, according to the Riverside Police Department.
Authorities did not name the man or provide further details about the crash.
