Firefighters extinguished a blaze Saturday inside a condominium in Pacific Palisades.

The fire inside the three-story condo at 17098 Palisades Circle was reported at 8:40 p.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

The department sent 31 firefighters to the scene, Humphrey said.

The fire began in the fireplace/chimney area and extended into the attic, he said.

The flames were knocked down in about half an hour, he said.

No victims were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
