One person was killed Saturday morning in a crash on the transition road from the Harbor (110) Freeway in the Harbor Gateway South area of Los Angeles.

The crash was reported at 2:11 a.m. on the transition from the southbound Harbor Freeway to 190th Street and the San Diego (405) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Los Angeles Unified School District police told the CHP the vehicle caught fire.

The CHP issued a SigAlert at 2:35 a.m. shutting down the transition road. The formal SigAlert was cancelled about 5 a.m. but the transition remained shut down while Caltrans repaired the guardrail.

Crash details were not available.
