A man who barricaded himself in a residence in the Palmdale area Friday was found dead in the garage, authorities said.
Deputies and a Special Weapons Team went to the 37700 block of Highland Street about 6:30 a.m. on a report of a domestic dispute and tried to get the suspect to surrender, but he did not respond to multiple verbal commands, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect, whose name was withheld pending notification of his family, was found dead in the garage late Friday morning. The cause of his death will be determined by the coroner’s office, the sheriff’s department reported.
