A woman found fatally stabbed in Vernon was identified Tuesday as a 23-year-old Los Angeles resident.
Police found the body of Denise Estrada about 2 p.m. Sunday in the back parking lot of a business at 2537 E 27th St., near South Santa Fe Avenue, said. Lt. Barry Hall of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which was assisting Vernon police in the homicide investigation.
Hall said Estrada was found nude and covered by a blanket.
A motive for the killing was unknown, and no suspect information was released.
