A man who was killed in an apparent gang-related drive-by shooting in South Los Angeles was identified Wednesday, and whoever killed him remains at large.
Police were sent to the 6800 block of Eighth Avenue about 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, said Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department’s media relations office.
Devin Denmark, 40, of Hawthorne, died at the scene, the coroner’s office reported.
Denmark was targeted while sitting in his vehicle. Another vehicle, occupied by several suspects, pulled up, and at least one assailant opened fire, police said.
No suspect or vehicle descriptions were released.
