An attempted murder defendant apparently took his own life in the Central Men’s Jail in Santa Ana Tuesday, sheriff’s officials said.
The 42-year-old inmate, whose name was not released, was booked into the Orange County Jail by police in the city of Orange on Nov. 8, 2018, according to the sheriff’s department. He was found dead at 7:47 a.m.
Orange County District Attorney’s Office prosecutors will investigate the in-custody death, which is routine.
