Authorities Friday identified a man who was fatally shot in the Florence-Firestone area of the county near South Los Angeles.
The shooting was reported about 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the 6700 block of Holmes Avenue, near Nadeau Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Alvin Paez, 32, of Cudahy, died at scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Arriving deputies found Paez sitting in a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. No arrests were reported, and no suspect information was available.
