A woman was shot to death Saturday in the Athens area of unincorporated Los Angeles County.
The shooting was reported at 3:25 p.m. at Berendo Avenue and 119th Street, according to Deputy Miguel Meza of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The victim was pronounced dead after paramedics took her to a hospital, Meza said.
Homicide detectives were conducting a crime scene investigation, he said.
